Britain's Got Talent's Paul Potts makes savage response to jibe about him crashing out of Champions

He was Britain's Got Talent's first winner some 12 years ago now but Paul Potts is no longer in the running for another win having crashed out of the Champions series at the first hurdle.

There was shock on Saturday night when mobile phone salesman turned opera sensation with the places in The Champions final instead going to Amanda Holden's Golden Buzzer act Kseniya Simonova, a sand artist who previously won Ukraine's Got Talent and Bello & Anneleise Nock, who received the highest number of votes from super fans in the audience.

Paul, who was told by Britain's Got Talent judge Simon Cowell that he had a "shaky" start to his big comeback performance didn't even make it into the top 3, with Simon and Amanda and the man himself looking stunned by the result.

But Paul has shut down an online troll in savage fashion after they made a number of digs on Twitter.

In a now deleted tweet, one Twitter user tweeted Paul a screen grab of a job advert for Carphone Warehouse, but Paul responded by replying "Ha ha I think they would have a problem with me being away for 95% of the rest of the year as I have 50+ shows in 5 countries. "

The user replied "well I know what final you won't be appearing on," to which Paul responded "I'm disappointed in you, I actually thought you were genuinely being funny.

"Turns out were just trolling which is never funny.

"While you troll I tour the world. I know which one I'd rather do."
