Britain's Got Talent's Amanda Holden makes bold claim over final result

Amanda Holden made a promise that may come back to haunt her over the outcome of the Britain's Got Talent final on Sunday.

After the BGT judges were 'replaced' at the start of the show, Amanda and her colleagues eventually took their seats to watch 11 performances. Ten of those came from the public and judges' picks from each of the week's semi finals, along with this year's wildcard. Amber and the Dancing Collies. With a place at the Royal Variety Performance up for grabs, at various point's during Sunday's Britain's Got Talent final, different judges made predictions on who would win.

Following the performance of opening act Jamie Leahey, David Walliams joked that the other acts might as well 'go home', while Five Star Boys, eventual winner Axel Blake, Eva Abley and Maxwell Thorpe were also earmarked as potential champions. But it was during her critique of singing teacher Tom Ball that Amanda made the comment she might live to regret.

Tom blew everyone away with an amazing rendition Shirley Bassey classic I Who Have Nothing, and when it was her turn to give her verdict, Amanda told him: "I am just dead Mr Ball! That was an unbelievable, unforgettable performance."

She continued: "And, if you're not at the London Palladium at the end of the year, I will eat my knickers!" Some viewers didn't appreciate her choice of words, with one tweeting: "Ughhhh @AmandaHolden how gross, you really make yourself look pathetic. Saying “I’ll eat my knickers” on live television and in-front of children in the audience behind you."

A second posted: " @AmandaHolden i’ll eat my knickers if you’re not at the @LondonPalladium

@SimonCowell your face was a picture."

Amanda might want to forget she ever made the quip as it wasn't Tom, but comedian Axel who ended up winning.
