Britain's Got Talent's live finals are reportedly now delayed until the end of the year and looks set to replace The X Factor-shaped gap in the winter.
It is believed that bosses had initially hoped that the final would air in the summer, but due to current government guidelines they doubt that is possible.
They also may not include a studio audience.
A source has told the Daily Star that producers had hoped that the BGT final could have been aired after a short break of a few weeks.
The insider added: "However, with measures still in place and lockdown only just starting to be released the plan is now for BGT lives to return at the end of the year.
"With the X Factor on ice for 2020 there is a Syco-shaped hole in ITV's schedule so this would fit perfectly."
They added that there have been a number of discussions as to how the finals will be carried out but nothing has yet been set in stone.

Pre-recorded BGT auditions, which were filmed at the beginning of the year, have already aired on ITV.
