Bristol weather: When Met Office and BBC say mini heatwave will end for city

Just when we were starting to think summer was over, September came through with a bit of sun.

Bristol saw highs of 28C to start the week on Monday - and the good news is the nice weather is set to continue for a while.

Today (Tuesday, September 15) will see highs of 23C in Bristol, according to the BBC and the Met Office.

And the sunshine will continue for most of the week, with highs of between 20C and 23C for the rest of the week.

In fact, this little spell of sunshine is not due to come to an end in Bristol until Wednesday, September 23 when cloudy weather is predicted to hit before rain on Thursday, September 24.

The Met Office's long-range forecast says: "Dry and settled weather seems likely to continue through next week, bringing sunny spells.

"However, there is a chance of the odd thundery shower, particularly in southern and southwestern areas.

"Above average temperatures are likely for many locations and it could be very warm in the south."

But the forecasters admit it is "very uncertain" how long this spell of more settled, sunny weather will continue.
