The latest edition of Subs Bench has landed.

The popular  Made In Bristol show   is now well established on Bristol Live with Richard Latham and Nigel Turner interviewing a host of former Bristol Rovers and Bristol City players from across the generations.

Mr Bristol City Scott Murray is the star guest on today's edition which is filmed in the changing rooms of Ashton Gate.

Richard and Nigel discuss the attacker's two glorious spells at BS3 as well as his latest role as the club's kitman and number one cheerleader from the sidelines.

We also hear how came close to joining Liverpool, but for a costly intervention from one of his best friends Brian Tinnion.

How things could have been different. In the end Murray joined the Robins in 1997 from Premier League club Aston Villa.

In his first season at the club Murray helped Bristol City secure promotion to the second tier of English football.

Murray finished the 2002/03 season as the club’s top scorer and attracted the interests of Reading, moving for a fee of £650,000.

However he returned to the club in March 2004, just months before a play-off final defeat at the Millennium Stadium against Brighton & Hove Albion.

When Murray departed Ashton Gate in 2009 he had secured himself as a club legend having score 91 goals in 426 appearances.
