Brighton vs Liverpool: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Liverpool return to Premier League action today with a trip to Brighton - (ES Composite)

Liverpool can boost their hopes of a top-five finish in the Premier League with a trip to Brighton this afternoon.

It is a third game in the space of six days for Liverpool and they will be on a high after thumping Galatasaray 4-0 to reach the Champions League quarter-finals.

The performance at Anfield was a big improvement from the 1-1 draw against relegation-threatened Tottenham last Sunday as the Reds missed the chance to go fourth in the table.

Though, with Manchester United dropping point on Friday night and with Liverpool playing before Aston Villa and Chelsea this weekend, Arne Slot’s side have the chance to lay down a marker in the battle for Champions League qualification.

Brighton, meanwhile, have responded well since losing to Liverpool in the FA Cup fourth round last month, winning three of their last four matches to allay any fears of relegation and give themselves an outside chance of qualifying for Europe.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brighton vs Liverpool is scheduled for a 12.30pm GMT kick-off today, Saturday, March 21, 2026.

The match will take place at the Amex Stadium.

Brighton vs Liverpool team news

Brighton will be without long-term absentees Stefanos Tzimas and Adam Webster for the visit of Liverpool, but Kaoru Mitoma will return from injury.

Mitoma picked up a knock in the 1-0 loss to Arsenal at the beginning of the month and subsequently missed last weekend’s victory over Sunderland.

Fabian Hurzeler said at the time that the injury was not “big” and Mitoma is in contention to face Liverpool, while Carlos Baleba is also fit.

Mohamed Salah is out for Liverpool after asking to be substituted with an injury in the second half against Galatasaray on Wednesday night.

Joe Gomez may make the bench on Saturday again but is “definitely” not ready to start, according to his manager.

Alexander Isak has returned to individual training but remains absent along with Wataru Endo, Conor Bradley and Giovanni Leoni.

Brighton vs Liverpool prediction

This should be a good game, an open one that both Slot and Hurzeler will enjoy. Brighton have shown they can cause problems for the so-called bigger teams and are on a decent run.

Liverpool will know the importance of signing off for the international break with a win to boost their hopes of a top-four finish.

We expect this to be a game full of goals with Liverpool coming out on top.

Liverpool to win, 4-2.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

Brighton have lost twice to Liverpool this season but are aiming to record successive home wins over the Reds after a 3-2 victory in May 2025.
