BRIEF: Police warn of robberies in Bronzeville, Kenwood

Aug. 06--Police are warning South Side residents in the Bronzeville and Kenwood neighborhoods of two robberies that happened in the area in July.

In both instances, attackers approached victims, threatened them with armed violence and stole their property, according to a release from the Chicago Police Department.

The latest robbery took place about 3 a.m. July 25 in the 5000 block of South Dorchester Avenue. The earlier incident happened about 8 p.m. July 16 in the 4000 block of South King Drive, according to the release.

One suspect is a black man between 18 and 25 years old who is 5-foot-10 and has a dark complexion. He was wearing a white tank top and tan pants, the release states.

A second suspect was described as a black male who has a dark complexion and dreadlocks.
