BRIEF: Steppenwolf completes casting of 'Constellations,' 'Visiting Edna'

April 25--Steppenwolf Theatre Company announced Monday that casting is complete for "Constellations" (May 26-July 3) and "Visiting Edna" (Sept. 15-Nov. 6).

Jessie Fisher will join the previously announced ensemble member Jon Michael Hill in Nick Payne's two-character, multiple-lifetime-spanning romance "Constellations," to be directed by Jonathan Berry in its Chicago premiere in the Upstairs Theatre.

Ensemble member Rondi Reed will star in David Rabe's "Visiting Edna," about an aging mother, her son and their difficult relationship. Completing the cast is Michael Rabe, David Rabe's son, and the previously announced Ian Barford, K. Todd Freeman and Sally Murphy. Artistic director Anna D. Shapiro will direct Rabe's world-premiere play, which opens the 2016-17 season in the Downstairs Theatre.

Steppenwolf Theatre Company is located at 1650 N. Halsted St.
