BRIEF: Police: 2 held after shots fired at Chicago Police

May 21--Two people are in custody after firing shots at officers who fired back Saturday morning in West Englewood on the South Side, police said.

No one was wounded during the incident, which happened at 10:11 a.m. when shots were fired at officers in the 1700 block of West 71st Street, said Officer Jose Estrada, a spokesman for the Chicago Police Department.

Officers then returned fire, but no one was wounded.

Police arrested two males and two guns were recovered from the scene, Estrada said.

Charges are pending.
