BRIEF: Phil Ponce of WTTW lists house for a little over $1 million

Aug. 05--WTTW-Ch. 11 "Chicago Tonight" host Phil Ponce has listed his four-bedroom vintage Victorian-style house in the Ravenswood neighborhood for $1.05 million.

Located two doors down from Mayor Rahm Emanuel's house, Ponce's home dates to 1886 and has been restored. Features include 3 1/2 baths, a rec room on the lower level, woodwork, a master suite on the third floor, and a large kitchen with a butler's pantry, white quartz countertops, double ovens and a Viking cooktop. The 165-foot-deep lot features a pergola, professionally designed gardens and a Chicago brick paver patio.

Ponce bought the home for $580,000 in 1999. He listed it on June 29. He now has a contract to sell the house, although the buyer is awaiting a contingency.

Reached at his office on Wednesday, Ponce declined to comment.

Alice Berger of @properties has the listing.
