BRIEF: Officers pull 2 men from burning car

Nov. 01--Police officers pulled two unconscious men from a burning car in the Gresham neighborhood early Sunday, police said.

A car in the 7700 block of South Loomis Boulevard hit several parked cars and then caught on fire. Officers arrived at the scene about 2:20 a.m. and were told that one person had gotten out of the car, but two others were still inside. They broke out the windows and pulled out two unconscious men.

Two people were in serious-to-critical condition after the crash, according to Chicago Fire Department Cmdr. Curtis Hudson. A 25-year-old man was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center with head pain and a 27-year-old man was taken to Stroger Hospital with a head injury.
