June 22--A 12-year-old boy with autism, who disappeared on Father's Day and hadn't been seen since, was found Monday riding a Metro train, police said.
Los Angeles County sheriff's deputies found Kaylan Smith on a train before noon Monday, said Officer Rosario Herrera of the Los Angeles Police Department.
"He is in good health," she said.
He was last seen about 3 p.m., running across the 800 block of North Heliotrope Street in Los Angeles, the LAPD reported.
His family spent the day searching for him, but were unable to find him, Officer Sara Faden said.
Kaylan is not able to communicate, police said.
