BRIEF: Man killed in DuPage County

Nov. 21--The DuPage County Sheriff's Office has opened a homicide investigation after a 27-year-old man was killed in unincorporated West Chicago.

About 11 p.m. Friday, responders found the man on the side of the road near the intersection of DuPage Street and High Lake Avenue, according to a news release. He was taken to Central DuPage Hospital and pronounced dead.

No information was immediately available about how the man was killed, though police believe he was targeted.

Anyone with information is encouraged to call police at 630-407-2400.
