Dec. 29--Four men have been wounded in separate shootings on the South Side since Monday evening, Chicago police said.

Most recently, a 20-year-old man was walked into Advocate Trinity Hospital after getting shot in the Princeton Park neighborhood on the South Side, said Chicago Police Department spokesman Officer Hector Alfaro.

The man was walking on a sidewalk in the 9100 block of South Wentworth Avenue around 1:15 a.m. Tuesday when a male attacker fired shots at him, Alfaro said.

He was shot in the right shoulder and managed to get himself to the hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.

About 8:55 p.m., a 28-year-old man was wounded in a shooting in the Marquette Park neighborhood, Alfaro said.

The man was walking outside in the 6400 block of South Artesian Avenue when an unknown attacker got out of a vehicle and fired shots, Alfaro said.

The man was shot in the right leg. He managed to get himself to Holy Cross Hospital, where his condition stabilized, Alfaro said.

About 8:30 p.m., a 49-year-old man was seriously hurt in a shooting on the 4500 block of South Forrestville Avenue in the Bronzeville neighborhood, Alfaro said.

The man was shot in the chest and chin and managed to get himself to Provident Hospital, Alfaro said. He was transferred to Stroger Hospital, and he was listed in serious condition.

Earlier, a 40-year-old man was injured after also being shot on the South Side, police said.

The earlier shooting happened at 5:50 p.m. on the 300 block of East 58th Street in the Washington Park neighborhood, said Officer Thomas Sweeney, a police spokesman.

The man was on the street when someone fired shots that hit him in the leg, Sweeney said. The man was taken to Stroger Hospital in good condition, said Sweeney.
