Feb. 04--Clippers sharpshooter J.J. Redick is still suffering from back spasms and is listed as day to day.
Coach Doc Rivers said Redick will probably be out for Thursday's game against the Cleveland Cavaliers, but Rivers added that Redick appears to be improving.
"I'm sure he's better just by looking at him," Rivers said. "He looks much better, so I mean there's a chance, but we're going to be very cautious."
Redick sustained the back injury in the fourth quarter of a game against the Denver Nuggets on Jan. 26. He was sidelined for the Clippers' 94-89 win over the Utah Jazz on Jan. 28 because of back spasms. He played in the Clippers' next two games, against the New Orleans Pelicans and San Antonio Spurs, before being taken out of Monday's game against the Brooklyn Nets after just four minutes of play. Redick did not return in that game.
Redick is averaging 14.7 points, 1.6 assists and 1.7 rebounds in 29.5 minutes a game this season.
