BRIEF: Guns N' Roses set to play Soldier Field in July

April 01--Guns N' Roses announced Friday the band will embark on a summer stadium tour that includes a July 1 stop at Soldier Field.

Tickets for the 8 p.m. show, which cost $44.50-$250, are scheduled to go on sale 10 a.m. April 8 via livenation.com. A Nightrain Fan Club pre-sale is set to run 10 a.m. Saturday through 10 p.m. Thursday. A Citi card member pre-sale is slated to run 10 a.m. Monday through 10 p.m. Thursday.

The stadium tour is scheduled to kick off June 23 at Ford Field in Detroit and wrap up Aug. 22 at Qualcomm Stadium in San Diego.

In a special preview of the upcoming tour, Axl Rose, Slash and Duff McKagan are slated to perform Friday at the Troubadour in West Hollywood.
