BRIEF: Guess co-founder Paul Marciano lists his Beverly Hills home for $20 million

Feb. 05--Paul Marciano, the co-founder and former chief executive of Guess Inc., has put his home in Beverly Hills on the market for $19.995 million.

The grand Mediterranean, built in 1988, sits on close to an acre with a double-gated motor court.

The two-story house is designed for large-scale entertaining with such amenities as a cigar and wine lounge, formal living and dining rooms and a large kitchen with a double range and a center island.

The roughly 9,100 square feet of living space includes six bedrooms and six bathrooms. The master suite has his and hers closets and bathrooms, a fireplace and arched French doors that open to a private balcony.

A covered patio, a swimming pool with a raised spa, lawns and formal landscaping fill the hedged setting.

Marciano bought the house nearly two decades ago for $5.125 million, records show.

Ginger Glass of Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage has the listing.

Marciano, in his mid 70s, co-founded the denim powerhouse Guess Jeans with his brothers in 1981. He stepped down from his position as chief executive of the fashion firm last year.
