Oct. 28--A Seattle grandfather shot and killed his daughter and granddaughter in front of his 10-year-old grandson before turning the gun on himself Monday night, police said.
The gunman's grandson fled the home around 8:15 p.m., and told police his grandfather pointed a handgun at his mother and sister, before shooting both women inside their South Fountain Street home near Lake Washington.
The boy's grandfather shot himself as the child ran out the door, according to a statement issued by Seattle Police.
Police did not release the ages or identities of any of the victims, and a call to a police spokesman seeking additional comment was not immediately returned.
