BRIEF: Golden Globes Twitter account confuses Gina Rodriguez, America Ferrera

Dec. 10--The reps behind the Golden Globes Twitter account got some flak Thursday morning after tweets from the award show's page confused "Superstore" star America Ferrera and "Jane the Virgin" star Gina Rodriguez.

"The @goldenglobes noms are about to start!," a tweet from the Golden Globes account read and tagged Rodriguez, "Carrie" star Chloe Moretz, "Chi-Raq" star Angela Bassett and "The Art of More" star Dennis Quaid. Another tweet said Rodriguez was kicking off the nominations announcements.

But it was Ferrera who was on stage with Quaid, Moretz and Bassett to announce the nominations Thursday. Social media users tweeted their displeasure about the posts, which have since been deleted.

Rodriguez, who grew up in the Belmont-Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side, won the Golden Globe for best actress in a TV comedy in January and was nominated again Thursday.

Here's a full list of Golden Globe nominees. The awards are scheduled to be handed out 7 p.m. Jan. 10 on NBC.
