BRIEF: Cubs in holding pattern for NL All-Star voting

June 16--Three Chicago Cubs players failed to move up as the National League All-Star voting moves into its final two weeks.

Rookie third baseman Kris Bryant remains second to Matt Carpenter of St. Louis in the latest voting results released Tuesday. First baseman Anthony Rizzo stayed in fourth place, trailing Paul Goldschmidt of Arizona, Adrian Gonzalez of the Los Angeles Dodgers and Matt Adams of St. Louis.

Shortstop Starlin Castro also remains in fourth place.

Voting concludes on July 2.
