BRIEF: Cubs, Angels throw Twitter shade ahead of season opener

March 29--There's nothing wrong with a little friendly trash talk, right?

It seemed to be all in good fun Monday when the Cubs tweeted a photo of Anthony Rizzo greeting Angels slugger Mike Trout before their spring training game.

The Angels promptly fired back, tweeting side-by-side photos of Trout with his 2014 MVP award and Rizzo holding a bear cub during Friday's practice.

The Cubs and Angels then traded one more (facetiously) ominous tweet referencing their season-opening matchup April 4.

This isn't the first time the Cubs have traded Twitter barbs with other teams. In February, the Cubs and Yankees got into it over Twitter polls, while back in October the Cubs trolled the Cardinals after a Kyle Schwarber postseason home run.
