March 20--Police are asking for the public's help locating a woman who went missing Friday on the Southwest Side in the city's Gage Park neighborhood.

Maria Lourdes "Lu Lu" Celedon, 52, was last seen Friday in the 2700 block of West 55th Street. She was possibly wearing an orange quilted jacket and black shoes with gray stripes. She may be carrying a multicolored quilted purse, police said.

Celedon is known to frequent the North Side, including the Edgewater neighborhood.

She is described as a Hispanic woman with a medium complexion, reddish brown hair and brown eyes. She is 5 feet 4 inches tall and weighs about 150 pounds, police said.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts should call 911 or the Chicago Police Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
