BRIEF: Cops release photos of men who assaulted 2 women on Near West Side

Nov. 04--Detectives released surveillance images Monday of two men suspected of sexually assaulting two women in the West Town neighborhood early on Halloween.

The two women, ages 29 and 30, were walking to their vehicle near Lake and Halsted streets about 4 a.m. last Friday when they were attacked, Area Central detectives said in an alert.

The two men went up to the women, grabbed them, hit them and sexually assaulted them, police said. The two then fled in a light- or gold-colored four-door vehicle, police said.

The first attacker was described as Hispanic, between the ages of 25 and 30, standing 5-foot-5 to 5-foot-9 and weighing between 150 and 170 pounds, and with a dark-colored beard. He was wearing a light-colored baseball cap and a dark jacket, along with a black hooded sweater.

The second attacker was described as a white man, also between the ages of 25 and 30, standing between 5-foot-11 and 6-foot-1, weighing 150 to 160 pounds and with short blond hair. He was wearing a dark-colored jacket, dark pants and gym shoes. Anyone with information is asked to call Area Central detectives at 312-747-8380.
