BRIEF: Girl, 12, found safe after reported missing over the weekend

Nov. 24--A 12-year-old girl who ran away from her northwest suburban home over the weekend has been found safe, authorities said.

Jordan Sumlin was last seen by her parents around 8:10 p.m. on Saturday in the 5200 block of Shotkoski Drive in unincorporated Hoffman Estates, according to the Cook County sheriff's office.

The girl was located in Mount Prospect Sunday night, according to an updated statement from the office.
