BRIEF: Clippers waive Chuck Hayes

Oct. 24--The Clippers waived power forward/center Chuck Hayes, the team announced Saturday.

Hayes appeared in four preseason games for the Clippers, averaging 0.5 points and 2.5 rebounds in 6.7 minutes. The Clippers had signed the 6-foot-6 32-year-old on Aug. 31.

The Clippers now have 15 players on their roster. At an event on Saturday at the Salvation Army Siemon Family Youth Community Center, Luc Mbah a Moute expressed excitement over securing the team's final roster spot.

"This a team that has a chance to do something special so it's great to be a part of that," Mbah a Moute said.
