BRIEF: Chicago Sky reveal 2016 schedule

Jan. 29--Reigning WNBA MVP Elena Donne and the Chicago Sky will help open the new season when they host the Connecticut Sun at 7 p.m. CT on May 14, as the league announced key dates in its 2016 schedule on Thursday.

The Sky will play at least three nationally televised games, with a date against the Los Angeles Sparks (May 24) and two against the defending champion Minnesota Lynx set to air on ESPN2 (July 5, Sept. 13).

More local and national TV dates will be announced later.

The regular season will run through Sept. 18, with a break from July 23 throgh Aug. 25 for the Rio Olympics, which begin Aug. 5. The WNBA playoffs begin Sept. 21.
