Aug. 24--Caitlyn Jenner is set to serve as the keynote speaker for a November luncheon held by Chicago House, which provides housing to people with HIV and AIDS, the group announced Monday.
The annual Chicago House Speaker Series luncheon will be held 11:30 a.m. to 2 p.m., Nov. 12, at the Hilton Chicago, 720 S. Michigan Ave., according to a Chicago House press release. Issues that affect the transgender community are expected to be explored at the luncheon.
Jenner, whose transition is the subject of her E! network series "I Am Cait," won the Arthur Ashe Courage Award last month at the ESPY awards show. Investigators are expected to present evidence to prosecutors this week to determine whether Jenner should be charged in connection with a deadly Malibu car crash in February.
Past Chicago House luncheon speakers include former President Bill Clinton, Whoopi Goldberg and designer Kenneth Cole.
More than 1,000 attendees are expected at November's luncheon. Tickets start at $200. Go to chicagohouse.org for more information.
