April 08--ORLANDO, Fla. -- Derrick Rose is listed on the Bulls' injury report Tuesday. And the word "out" doesn't follow his name.
For the first time since undergoing arthroscopic right knee surgery on Feb. 27, Rose, who has participated in four contact practices without incident, is listed as questionable. Rose is scheduled to play at some point this week, the tail end of the four- to six-week timeline for his return presented following his procedure.
Rose will participate in Wednesday's morning shootaround and a determination on his availability will be made afterward.
It's unlikely the Bulls would start Rose with a back-to-back set of games. So if he does play against the Magic, it's likely he would sit out Thursday's game against the Heat.
Just as likely, Rose will begin his latest comeback Thursday or Saturday at home against the 76ers. The Bulls will limit Rose, who has missed 20 games, initially upon his return. The Bulls have gone 10-10 without Rose.
Kirk Hinrich, who missed the last two games with his hyperextended left knee, also is listed as questionable. Hinrich said this week his knee has shown strong improvement.
