Wednesday's recap: Bulls 95, Bucks 86

Nov. 06--The summary

On a night Derrick Rose returned from sitting two games with sprained ankles, Kirk Hinrich scored all seven of his points in the fourth quarter as the Bulls pulled away for a 95-86 victory over the Bucks. All five starters reached double figures, the fourth straight game the Bulls have placed at least five scorers in double digits. Taj Gibson's 23 points and 10 rebounds and Pau Gasol's 22 points and 14 rebounds led the way. The Bulls limited the Bucks to 37.1 percent shooting.

Turning point

Jimmy Butler knocked down a 17-foot jumper and Hinrich added a 3-pointer sandwiched around a strong defensive sequence that forced a missed O.J. Mayo 3-pointer to turn a one-possession game into an eight-point lead.

Tribune's player of game

Gibson responded to his foul-plagued Tuesday night with an aggressive effort, logging 43 minutes. His physical play and relentless attacking in the post set a tone.

Big number

9. The Bulls won their ninth straight road game in this series. That's the longest streak against the Bucks in franchise history.

The quote

"I knew he'd be stronger after this. With injuries, it's more mentally tough than physically. Physical nature, he's phenomenal. But I think he's more mentally prepared than anything and I respect the route that he went. And he's healthy now." -- Bucks rookie Jabari Parker on Rose
