May 24--Police have been able to identify a 6-year-old boy found Sunday morning in the South Shore neighborhood near Jackson Park and reunite him with his family.

The boy was able to tell police his first name, Michael, but they didn't know his last name, according to an alert issued Sunday afternoon by Area Central detectives. He was found about 8:50 a.m. at 1735 E. 67th St., across from the south end of the Jackson Park.

The boy has been reunited with his family, police said in an updated alert Sunday afternoon.

The boy is black, with a medium complexion, stands 4-foot-8, and weighs about 45 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. When found, he was wearing a gray hoodie with a green stripe and the words "American hawk originals." He was wearing a navy and white polo shirt, black jeans and gray and orange Champion gym shoes.
