Feb. 02--With Michal Rozsival questionable because of a lower-body injury, the Blackhawks added some depth to the blue line ahead of Tuesday's game against the Avalanche.
The team recalled Viktor Svedberg from Rockford, giving them eight defensemen now on the active roster.
Svedberg, who is listed at 6-foot-8, played in 15 games earlier this season and registered one goal and one assist. During that time, Svedberg, who was seeing his first NHL action this season, helped the Hawks while Duncan Keith recovered from knee surgery.
He averaged 17 minutes, 13 seconds of ice time during his stint earlier this season and had a Corsi percentage of 49.
