April 06--The Blackhawks and prospect Tyler Motte, a forward from Michigan, agreed to a three-year contract that begins next season, the Hawks announced Wednesday.
Motte was a top 10 finalist for the Hobey Baker Memorial Award, given to the best player in collegiate hockey.
Motte will skip his senior season at Michigan to join the Hawks' organization. He had 32 goals and 24 assists this season for the Wolverines. Motte was a fourth-round draft pick of the Hawks in the 2013 entry draft.
