Dec. 12--The streak lives.
The Chicago Blackhawks' Patrick Kane scored during the second period against the Winnipeg Jets on Friday night at the United Center to extend his consecutive games with at least one point streak to 25.
With the Hawks on the power play, Kane took a no-look, cross-ice pass from Teuvo Teravainen right on his tape and flicked a shot past Jets goaltender Connor Hellebuyck into the top-left corner of the net for his 19th goal of the season.
The 25-game run matched Sidney Crosby's 25-game streak set in 2010-11 for the longest by an active player. Kane has 16 goals and 23 assists during the streak. His goal gave the Hawks a 2-0 lead over the Jets after two periods.
The all-time record for points in consecutive games is 51 set by Wayne Gretzky in 1983-84.
