BRIEF: Anthony Rizzo falls to 4th in latest NL All-Star voting

June 09--DETROIT -- Despite an exceptional start, Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has fallen to fourth in the latest National League All-Star voting released Tuesday.

Rizzo, who has a 12-game hitting streak to go with a .332 batting average with 11 home runs, 35 RBIs and is third in the majors with a 1.057 OPS and .449 on-base percentage, is fourth. Rizzo trails Paul Goldschmidt of Arizona, Adrian Gonzalez of the Dodgers and Matt Adams of St. Louis.

Third baseman Kris Bryant remains in second place, behind Matt Carpenter of St. Louis, with catcher Miguel Montero third and shortstop Starlin Castro fourth.

The All-Star Game will be played July 14 in Cincinnati.
