Feb. 08--"American Idol" alumna Haley Reinhart, who hails from Wheeling, said she will return to the Fox singing competition next week.
"Cat's outta the bag folks! I'll be back on 'American Idol' Feb. 18," Reinhart posted Friday on Instagram. "Only this time, I'll be mentoring and performing with a few of this year's top 24 contestants!"
Reinhart, 25, placed third in the 10th season in 2011. She released her album "Listen Up!" in 2012.
"Idol," which is in its 15th and final season, airs 7 p.m. Wednesdays and Thursdays. The top 24 contestants, including Chicago singer-songwriter Manny Torres, were revealed last week. Half of the contestants are expected to perform solo this week.
Other "Idol" alumni who have signed on as mentors include Fantasia Barrino, Ruben Studdard and Jordin Sparks.
