BRIEF: 4 taken to hospital after attic fire in Lawndale

Dec. 04--Four people were taken to a West Side hospital following an attic fire Friday morning.

The blaze started about 7:05 a.m. in a 1 1/2-story building in the 4000 block of West Harrison Street in the Lawndale neighborhood, Chicago Fire Department spokesman Joe Roccasalva said.

The fire spread to a building next door, causing minor damage, he said.

Four victims were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, three in good condition and one in fair-to-serious condition, Roccasalva said.
