Feb. 17--Three people were injured including a 16-year-old boy in two separate shootings on the South Side Monday, police said.
The latest shooting happened at 4:45 p.m. on the 5700 block of South Hermitage Avenue in the West Englewood neighborhood, said Chicago Police News Affairs Officer Thomas Sweeney.
A 32-year-old man and a 37-year-old man were in a parked vehicle when another car drove up and someone from inside began shooting, Sweeney said.
The shooting left the younger man critically injured with multiple gunshot wounds at Stroger Hospital. The older man was shot in the right shoulder and was taken to Advocate Christ Medical Center where his condition had stabilized.
Both men are known gang members, police said.

A police SUV guarded a small gangway at the south end of a row of row houses where officers found blood.
The boy was not cooperating with investigators, police said. He was taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital where his condition had been stabilized, police said.
