BRIEF: Man killed when car and semi collide on Stevenson

Feb. 25--A man was killed in a crash on the Stevenson Expressway early Wednesday, lllinois State Police said.

About 2:30 a.m., the man was driving a car that collided with a semi in the southbound lanes of Interstate 55 near La Grange Road in suburban Hodgkins.

The driver was identified as Radoslaw Kosikowski, 40, of Elmhurst, according to the Cook County medical examiner's office. He was pronounced dead at 2:52 a.m., according to the office.

Information was not immediately available about how the crash occurred, but alcohol was not believed to be a factor, state police said.

The driver of the semi truck is not expected to be cited.
