Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor throws support behind mum Sally ahead of Dancing On Ice debut

Bridgerton's Phoebe Dynevor has thrown her support behind her mum Sally as she prepares for her Dancing On Ice debut.

The actress - who plays Daphne Bridgerton in the Netflix period drama - has been supporting her Coronation Street star mum throughout her time training for the ITV skating show, which kicks off tonight on ITV.

And ahead of her debut on the ice tonight, Phoebe showed some public support for her mum, as Sally and her skating partner Matt Evers shared a montage video of the pair of them on the ice and getting ready for the big night tonight.

Alongside the video, Phoebe posted a string of hearts as her mum prepares for the show to begin.

Fans also rushed to social media to share their excitement too, as one wrote: "We can’t wait to watch you all. It’s out favourite time of the year. Even above Christmas. We are so happy."

A second added: "Wishing you all the best for tonight!! So looking forward to the show!"

It comes after Sally admitted she is nervous to be herself on the show as she's spent years hiding behind her soap character.

Speaking to The Mirror and other press, she said: "I really do want people to get to know me because they've only known my character for so long. But again, it's putting myself out there that's quite out there, because I've never really done this before.

"I've hidden behind my character. So to come out after all these years, it's quite daunting. But I'm hoping I'll be ok and it'll go well and that I'll really enjoy the experience and then go back to being Sally Metcalfe in a few weeks."

Sally has also had a lot of support from her Coronation Street co-stars.

"It's lovely we've got a shared experience. Everyone has been really supportive," she explained.

"They've all talked me through their experiences over the years of what happened to them, and looking at my daughter Brooke Vincent who did it a few years ago, watching all her YouTubes, it just inspires me. We're all starting off on the Corrie cobbles at the same beginning and they've all done very well and I'm really proud of them all. I'm just really excited to give it a go."
