Bride and groom create 'cringe-worthy' kissing menu for guests on their big day

When it comes to weddings, everyone wants something different for their big day - some people long for a grand party in a castle, while others would prefer to run off and elope.

No matter what you go for, it's totally your choice, though naturally there are bound to be a number of people out there who will judge you for it.

Take for example one couple who have been mocked online for offering guests a 'kissing menu' on their big day.

What's a kissing menu, you ask?

Well, it lists creative ways for guests to get the bride and groom to smooch one another during the wedding reception - because sometimes clinking a fork against your champagne flute just won't do.

The Kissing Menu was branded "cringe-worthy" (Facebook)

Shared on a wedding shaming Facebook page, the kissing menu features four options for people to choose from.

It reads: "If you want to see the newlyweds kiss...a clink of the glass won't cut it!

"We're going to make you work for this!"

"We have a list from which you can choose, for which you may need a little more booze.

"The better the performance, the better the kiss."

Another Facebook user shared something similar they'd seen at a wedding (Facebook)

The items on the menu include 'newlywed trivia' which challenged guests to answer questions about the couple, 'the exquisite example' which sees guests demonstrate a kiss for the bride and groom to copy and 'take your chances' where it all depends on the flip of a coin.

"Heads - the bride and groom will kiss," it says. "Tails - you kiss another guest."

Facebook users who saw the post were shocked by the menu, with some branding it "gross" and "cringe-worthy".

One woman, who had previously seen a similar "menu" at another wedding, wrote: "Spoiler alert: no-one wants to see you kiss that bad.

"Entire night went by without anyone using these cringe-worthy alternatives."

She also uploaded a snap of the menu, which encouraged people to sing to the couple and to play a comedian.

Another added: "This is the weirdest thing I've ever seen."
