Brickbat: Anyone for Tennis?

In San Francisco, Sam Dogen took his 6-year-old daughter and 9-year-old son to play tennis at Golden Gate Heights Park on an empty public court so they could spend time together. After about 20 minutes, two park rangers approached him wearing vests and carrying batons. They said he needed a permit to teach tennis or he could get a $192 fine. The rangers backed off after Dogen convinced them the two were his children. City officials defended the rangers, saying they need to make sure no one is giving paid lessons without a permit.
