Brian Dowling furious over 'vile' comments online

Big Brother star Brian Dowling has hit back over a 'vile' and 'ignorant' message he received from one Instagram user.

The TV presenter and his husband Arthur Gourounlian welcomed their first child together, Blake Maria Rose Dowling Gournounlian on September 1. Brian's sister Aoife acted as surrogate for the couple.

Since announcing the arrival of their baby daughter, Brian and Arthur have been sharing their parenting journey with their online followers, including a documentation of a sleepless night on Tuesday which saw him speaking to the camera as Blake could be heard crying in the background.

"Oh no, no what's wrong with baby Blake. Oh no, is she overtired? Is the baby overtired?" Brian could be heard saying.

One person responded saying "'She wants her mother."

Brian told his followers: "Messages like this make me sad but also so very angry. Arthur and I get messages like this rather often. I'm not sure if the people sending them are IGNORANT or just plain VILE."

Arthur added: "Happy Wednesday you gorgeous people. And yes there are always messages like this in our DMs but hey, it's life and you just have to rise above and move on.

"There will always be uneducated and rude people out there."

Arthur made a statement last week confronting negative comments their family has received on social media. The video post shows the week-old baby putting her middle finger up in her sleep.

He wrote: "When your daughter is new here and she doesn't give a damn about all the negative comments. The finger I CAN’T cope, OH THE TIMING."

Earlier this week, Brian celebrated ten days of being a parent to baby Blake.

Along with a photo of him holding his baby daughter, Brian said: "I was so nervous doing the first few feeds & any time she cried I would become so anxious. We are now 10 days in & I'm feeling so much more relaxed & confident."

He added: "I find myself sometimes just looking at her beautiful little face & smiling.

"The tiredness is of course on another level but I’ve been more tired before from big nights out. can already tell that Blake is a determined little girl & each day we see more of her personality."
