Brian Blessed swears live on Lorraine as Christine Lampard is forced to apologise

Lorraine 's stand in host Christine Lampard was forced to hastily apologise as Brian Blessed dropper a huge swear word live on air .

He was ranting about coronavirus when he shouted at it to "b****r off", leaving a red-faced Christine to say sorry to any ITV viewers offended by his bad language.

Flash Gordon star Brian raged: "This COVID virus i really want to say one swear word - b****r off!

"We will beat it, it will go away, I believe in the human spirit and we are showing immense courage in this country, down to the NHS."

Christine cut in: "It has been the most extraordinary time, I'm sure some of us would use even a stronger word than that, but obviously we can't and we will apologise for any bad language."

Actor Brian was discussing his wish to be the oldest man to visit the moon, as he is 83, though looks far younger than his years.

He credits this to his bench pressing routine, as he regularly he benches 300lbs.

Brian also revealed that when he visited 10 Downing Street during David Cameron's time as Prime Minister, David approached him and asked him to perform his most famous catchphrase.

"GORDON'S ALIVE?!" he bellowed.

Viewers did not seem to mind Brian's swearing as they took to Twitter to gush over his energetic interview.

"Brian Blessed on Lorraine is quite possibly the best interview ever...what an amazing man! Pure joy" wrote one.

" #BrianBlessed is simply deliciously bonkers!!! (Even though I would want to tell him to just shut up!)" added another.

"Brian Blessed shouting “B****R OFF” to coronavirus live on Lorraine with Christine Lampard is TV gold. What a man!" giggled a third.

A fourth remarked: "Brian Blessed is absolutly crackers but I love him".
