Brentwood paper celebrates campaign victory

A campaign against the opening of a licensed sex shop that was backed by the Brentwood Gazette has proved successful. After the council vetoed the plan one of the protesters, Councillor Louise Monnickendam, praised the Gazette for "raising awareness", adding: "This has been a battle won for decency and for residents living in the area, particularly the young and elderly.
