City know victory at the Brentford Community Stadium will open up a nine-point lead over Liverpool after Jurgen Klopp’s side lost 1-0 at Leicester on Tuesday night.
Pep Guardiola’s side are looking like the champions-elect.
They beat Leicester 6-3 on Boxing Day but they are unlikely to have an easy night against a Brentford side who are out to claim another big scalp, having already beaten Arsenal 2-0 and held Liverpool to a 3-3 draw at home this season.
