Brentford vs Man City: Prediction, kick-off time, team news, TV, live stream, h2h results, odds today

Brentford entertain Manchester City today to conclude another busy weekend of Premier League action.

A week on from beating Manchester United, the Bees are in action against the other side from Manchester as head coach Keith Andrews seeks to complete a unique double.

Last Saturday’s deserved 3-1 win over the Red Devils was just Brentford’s second league victory of the season, both of which have come at home.

In fact, the Bees are unbeaten at home so far this campaign, a run that includes facing Aston Villa (twice) and west London rivals Chelsea.

That record will be under serious threat against a Man City side who are unbeaten in six games across all competitions and will be fired up after a controversial draw with Monaco in the Champions League on Wednesday night.

Date, kick-off time and venue

Brentford vs Man City is scheduled for a 4.30pm BST kick-off today on Sunday October, 5, 2025.

The match will take place at the Gtech Community Stadium in west London.

TV channel: In the UK, the game will be televised live on Sky Sports. Coverage starts at 4pm BST on Sky Sports Main Event, Sky Sports Premier League and Sky Sports Ultra HDR.

Brentford vs Man City team news

Brentford have received a double boost ahead of the Man City clash. Fabio Carvalho is in contention having recovered from a minor knee injury.

Carvalho missed Brentford’s 3-1 victory over Manchester United last weekend, but returned to training this week and will be assessed. Meanwhile, Andrews is also able to welcome back Reiss Nelson from illness.

Gustavo Nunes is also back in training, while Paris Maghoma is building up his fitness after injury.

Pep Guardiola could have Omar Marmoush available for selection again after predicting the forward would be back before the October international break.

The Egyptian sustained a knee injury during the last break which has seen him miss games against Manchester United, Napoli, Arsenal, Huddersfield, Burnley and Monaco.

Rayan Ait-Nouri is also a doubt but Rayan Cherki is not yet in contention to feature despite returning to training earlier than expected. Abdukodir Khusanov is also still out.

Brentford vs Man City prediction

The Bees will be buzzing after their win over Manchester United last weekend, but they will be facing an entirely different prospect in Man City this time around.

Guardiola’s side have certainly turned a corner since prior to the September international break and with Erling Haaland in such great goalscoring form, we are expecting the visitors to inflict a first home defeat of the season on Brentford.

Man City to win, 2-1.

Head to head (h2h) history and results

In the corresponding fixture last season, Brentford battled back from 2-0 down to earn a point. That said, Man City have won three of the last four meetings between the two sides.
