Brentford 1-3 Everton: Thomas Frank confident Bees will bounce back after disappointing defeat

Brentford manager Thomas Frank is confident his team will bounce back after Saturday’s disappointing defeat to Everton.

The Bees have won only once this season and the Toffees inflicted upon them their second consecutive defeat following last weekend’s reversal at Newcastle.

In the absence of talisman Ivan Toney and without key full-back Rico Henry due to injury, Brentford struggled to assert themselves as Sean Dyche’s side picked up their first win of the Premier League season.

Vitaly Janelt brought the home side level after Abdoulaye Doucoure’s early goal at the Gtech Community Stadium but Brentford had no to response James Tarkowski’s and Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s efforts in the 61st and 71st minute respectively.

"First and foremost Everton deserved to win. We performed badly. This was very unlike us and these fantastic players that we played like that today," Frank said.

"This group of players have been good at bouncing back. It’s very important we do so again."
