Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers says it's important that Maik Nawrocki gets game time, with the central defender reportedly set to join Hannover 96 on loan.
It was revealed on Friday by Sky Sports Germany that Nawrocki's move to the 2. Bundesliga side is a 'done deal', with him having completed a medical.
Hannover 96 will have an option to buy the 24-year-old upon the end of his temporary spell at the club.
"He’s had a couple of years where he hasn’t quite got the games that he would have liked," said Rodgers after Celtic's friendly win over Queen's Park on Friday night (Record).

"So it’s important that he goes out and plays."
Nawrocki has made just 18 appearances after signing for Celtic from Legia Warsaw in his homeland two years ago.
In the season gone by, he played only five times, although he rarely put a foot wrong when he did.
Celtic have a wealth of central defenders at the club, though. Auston Trusty, Cameron Carter-Vickers, Stephen Welsh, Liam Scales, Nawrocki, and now new signing Hayato Inamura are all on the books.
That's without mentioning Gustaf Lagerbielke, who is reportedly set to join Braga permanently. He came in alongside Nawrocki in the summer of 2023, but similarly to the Pole, he has struggled for minutes since.
