Brendan Allen wants to avenge Trevin Giles loss from 2016 after UFC Norfolk

NORFOLK, Va. – Brendan Allen beat Tom Breese with a first-round TKO Saturday on the preliminary card at UFC on ESPN+ 27 in Norfolk, Va.

Take a look inside the fight with Allen, who picked up his sixth straight win – five of which have come in the first round.

Result: Brendan Allen def. Tom Breese via TKO (strikes) – Round 1, 4:47
Updated records: Allen (14-1 MMA, 2-0 UFC), Breese (11-2 MMA, 4-2 UFC)
Key stat: Allen outstruck Breese 38-5 en route to his TKO win.

Allen on the fight’s key moment

“I hit him with the body kick, and that made him move back a little and he shot from there. If he wants to go to the ground, that’s fine with me. When I was on top, I just kept hitting him and found the openings. I took my time, but he wasn’t moving, so I just unloaded until they stopped me.”

Allen on winning some new fans

“Hopefully I have a lot of fans tune in now. Hopefully I get a big boost in my following, and hopefully the bosses realize that I’m someone who can make an impact in this division. … I felt good tonight. I’m really happy right now, it’s hard to put into words. I think I’ve found my stride and I’m really coming into my own. I have the best coaches in the world and I wouldn’t travel so far from my little baby if I didn’t believe that. I’m blessed and happy to be here and can’t wait to show more.”

Allen on what he wants next

“I’d love to avenge one of my losses at ‘International Fight Week’ coming up (against Trevin Giles). But right now, I just want to go home and see my baby.”
