Nottingham Forest confirm Emmanuel Dennis transfer

Nottingham Forest have confirmed the signing of striker Emmanuel Dennis from Watford.

The 24-year-old joins on a four-year deal from the Championship club and becomes head coach Steve Cooper's 13th signing of the summer. He joins Taiwo Awoniyi in bolstering the strike force in what has been a hectic summer so far.

His arrival comes after Watford boss Rob Edwards confirmed on Friday that the deal was "progressing", with further reports of an agreed deal and a medical on Saturday.

The striker scored 10 goals in 33 Premier League appearances last season but his efforts were not enough for the Hornets to beat the drop. He has now earned his move back to the top flight, with the fee reported to be in the region of £15m-£20m.

Dennis has also played for Zorya Luhansk, Club Brugge and FC Koln in his career so far and has seven caps for Nigeria. He will not be eligible to play for Forest against West Ham on Sunday, unless his transfer was completed before midday on Friday.
